TEAM CLASSIFICATIONS & DIVISIONS
Students age will be based on the student's age as of January 1st, 2024
School Teams are not divided by team size unless 8 or more teams have entered one division.
Private Schools may choose to either compete in the Private School Division or they can compete in the High School Division

Rifle Flag Winter Guard Dance Twirl
Including set up, entrance, breakdowns and exits, the following teams have a total of 5 minutes of floor time per routine for Flag Teams, Rifle Teams, Flag/Rifle Teams, Dance Twirl , and Team Twirl.
Winter Guards are allotted 10 minutes total.
Entrances and exits are not a part of the scoring process.
A one point penalty per judge per minute will be assessed for exceeding routine time limits.
No props that can cause damage to the dance floor. Please take precautions to avoid damage. All props and backdrops should be taped to avoid damage to wooden floors and should be constructed to fit through a gymnasium 7’ double door with a center crossbar removed. ALL PROPS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE HOST SCHOOLS PRIOR TO PERFORMANCE. Prop questions should be directed to the host school contact for each event. If damage occurs, the team/studio will be charged for repairs/placement.
Team performance venues will be a standard high school basketball court arena. Solo and ensemble areas may vary from venue to venue and could range from a gymnasium floor, auditorium stage, to hotel ballroom with Marley Dance Floors laid down.
When possible, basketball and volleyball lines will be taped down in areas that do not have the generic gym markings for all Team Dances.
Solos & Groups
All solos and groups will compete by age levels.
Awards will be announced for all competing divisions.
Student's ages will be based on their age as of January 1st, 2024. In the event that age is in question or contested, instructors need to be able to provide proof of age (birth certificate or government I.D.)
Solos compete in Guard or Twirling divisions. Soloists may enter as many solo entries as they would like, however each performer may only place one time in the overall rankings.
Solo & Group routines should be between 1.5 to 2.5 minutes.
Age Divisions
All registration should be completed at least 14 days prior to the event through the Registration Portal available on the MoveMasters website. Once an event sells out, online registration will be closed.
Confirmation and contest information will be emailed within the two weeks prior to the event. A tentative schedule will be sent to directors. A final schedule will be posted online after a 24 hour waiting period for Directors request changes. A final schedule will be posted 5 days before the beginning of the competition.

All regional contest fees paid in full by February 15th, 2025 will automatically receive a early bird discount. Any routines that you list on your registration and pay for in full by this date will qualify for this bonus. Routines added or changed after this time will be charged the regular registration fee. Any routines added or changed 14 days or less from their registered competition will be charged a late fee.(This offer applies to Regional, State, and National Competitions Only).
Late Fees will apply to accounts with unpaid registrations 14 days or less from their scheduled competition date.
Multi Routine Discount: Teams/Schools/Studios who compete 6 routines will receive a coupon code $100 off your total.
Refunds for cancellations must be requested in writing and received in our office at least 14 days prior to the competition date. Phone calls will not be accepted as formal requests for cancellation. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to a competition date will not receive refunds. No refunds are given due to weather unless the contest is cancelled.
Music
Once you have registered, there will be a section in your registration portal to submit music.
The uploads must be in one of the following formats: MP3, M4A and WAV files
Directors should bring a back-up copy of each music number in case of emergency. Adapters are provided for Apple products if needed. Music that is deemed inappropriate by the judging panel will result in a loss of points in either or both the choreography and overall impression categories of the scoresheets.

All music utilized for performance should be legally purchased by the team or organization that is performing. If questions regarding music purchasing arise a director should be able to show proof of how they obtained the music being utilized.
